The Two Gustavs: Mahler and Klimpt, By The Arts Society Lecturer Gavin Plumley. Klimt and colleagues broke away from art institutions in Vienna in 1897, founding the Secession. Mahler arrived to take charge of the Opera House in the City. Comparing their talents you will see what links and divides them. Non-Members welcome, £6.00 including coffee/tea. The lectures are at 10.30am and 2.00pm, one hour long, but leave extra time for announcements etc.
